Bill Clinton denies any knowledge of Epstein’s sex crimes
Bill Clinton asserts no awareness of Epstein’s sexual misconduct
A video showcasing sworn testimony from former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been released by a congressional committee, revealing his claim of not knowing about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sexual crimes. The footage captures Clinton’s two-day deposition before the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, where he detailed his interactions with the late financier.
Clinton stated that he met Epstein for the first time aboard the latter’s private jet in 2002, during a humanitarian mission. He emphasized that their relationship ended just one year later. “I didn’t observe any actions during our time together that suggested he was engaging in sex trafficking,” Clinton explained to the committee.
“There’s nothing that I saw when I was around him that made me realize he was trafficking women,” he told the lawmakers.
Hillary Clinton, his spouse, also testified, admitting she could not recall specific meetings with Epstein. The couple’s depositions have emerged amid increasing calls for accountability regarding Epstein’s files, though neither has been formally accused of misconduct.
Clinton further recounted a discussion with Donald Trump, who had yet to become president at the time. Trump referenced their connection with Epstein, stating, “You know, we had some great times together over the years, but we fell out all because of a real estate deal.” Clinton clarified that Trump had not indicated any improper involvement in Epstein’s activities.
Both Clinton and Trump acknowledged their association with Epstein prior to his 2008 guilty plea. They consistently maintained that they had no evidence of his sex trafficking activities. To access the video, users must enable JavaScript and use a browser compatible with HTML5.
